Wanted to test what the forum's markdown supported, and thought here was the best place (Just consider it feedback on the forum's markdown implementation).

What doesn't work:

  • Links by ID
  • Backquotes
  • Code blocks (sometimes)
  • Lists are weird
  • Normal headers (Alt headers work)

Link titles also don't work

(Testing Code Blocks) This should appear as code block Line 2 Note: this is all indented by 4 spaces

Github on the other side uses three ` at the start and end of a code block

4 spaces appears like regular text tho ?

3rd line (this will be the 2nd line if space code blocks don't work)

It uses the python-markdown package to render the text into HTML. Maybe that package is using an outdated implementation of Markdown. :( I'll see if the version the site is using is up to date as well.
